FOR BOYS:
a) Hair must be short (except for Sikh boys) and neatly combed. Hair should not touch the ears, the collars or the eyebrows.
b) Nails must be kept short & clean.
c) Sikh Boys in Sr. Classes must wear a formal green turban.
FOR GIRLS:
a) Fingernails must be cut short and kept clean. No nail polish is to be used. b) Hair must be neat, not touching the collar, not covering the forehead. Shoulder length hair must be plaited.
1. Students are expected to behave in a dignified and disciplined manner both in and out of school. Disobedient, disrespectful, rowdy or indecent behaviour in any form will call for strict punishment, including expulsion from the school.
2. Mobile phones and l-pods are strictly not allowed and shall be confiscated if found in possession of any student.
3. The possession of alcohol, tobacco for smoking or chewing, pan masala, betel leaf/nut or any other form of intoxicant is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will lead to immediate expulsion from the School
4. Students should take care of their text & notebooks, money, and other belongings. The school will not be responsible for any loss. Students should not bring any expensive articles or cash besides their daily requirements to the school.
5. Students are expected to take due & proper care of the school property. No student should scratch or spoil the desk or chair. Any damage or loss to the school property will have to be paid for by the student responsible for it, in addition to a punitive fine.
6. Stealing of any kind will attract a strict penalty.
7. Attendance on the closing and re-opening day after the vacation or a break is mandatory. Similarly, attendance on the days when the student is participating in any School activity is mandatory. Failure to do so will attract punishment, including a fine of 100/- per day.
8. Forgery of any kind, including signatures of parents on leave and other applications or on the School diary and forging of signatures of school Authorities and Teachers on any document, will lead to immediate expulsion of the student from the school.
9. Cheating and use of unfair means in any form during tests or examinations will lead to immediate expulsion.
10. Students must attend any activity or function for which they are required by the school, before or after regular school hours or even on Sundays and Holidays. Parents will be required to make necessary transport and other arrangements for their wards.
11. Parents must check Class Teacher’s/Teacher’s Remarks column given on pages 32, 33, 36, 39-42, 53, 54 every day and must:
a) Put their signatures whenever requested by the Class Teacher.
b) Meet the Class Teacher/Co-Ordinator/Principal on the requested date and time.
In case of failure to do as required above, the concerned student shall not be allowed to attend school.
1. All students must carry the Identity Card available from the School at all times when they are in the School and while moving to and fro from the School.
2. In case of loss of Identity Card, a duplicate would be issued at the cost of 200/
1. Students must be present in school before the Assembly commences.
2. For students of classes from Nursery to III, a letter of identification of the escort (with attester signatures) by the parent must be deposited in the office. Kindly note that the children shall not be sent home even in an emergency with anyone other than the regular escort, without a written request from the parent/guardian.
3. Students escorted to school by parents or relatives or domestic help, must not come earlier than 10 minutes before the Assembly and must be picked up as soon as the school gets over. Latecomers shall have to report to the principal’s office.
4. Students escorted to school by parents or relatives or domestic help must not leave school before their escorts arrive. In case of delay in the arrival of the escort, the student must report to the school office.
5. On non-instructional days, especially Independence Day (15th August) and Republic Day (25 January), attendance is compulsory. Such days foster values of patriotism and national integration and bring about an appreciation of our Indian heritage and culture.
6. A minimum of 90% school attendance during the academic year is required for a student to be entitled to sit for the Final examination. Extra Classes held for Senior Classes are also marked for attendance.
1. Leave is a matter of privilege, not of right.
2. Parents are requested to ask for leave for their child only in the most unavoidable circumstances Children are given long vacations, post-examination breaks, festival breaks and a large number of holidays in the year. Parents must plan their social and other commitments keeping in view the school calendar, in the academic interest of their child.
3. All leaves must be applied for, in writing, at least three days in advance except in unforeseen circumstances, in which case an application must be submitted on the day the student returns to school. Failure to do so will be taken very seriously, and the student will be sent home.
4. Leave on health grounds for more than two days must be accompanied by a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.
5. Absence from Examinations/Tests will result in failure except in case of serious illness, for which a Medical Certificate must be submitted from a Govt. Medical Officer.
6. Absence without leave for five days or more will automatically lead to a student’s name being struck off the rolls of the school. Re-admission, if granted, will be treated as a case of new admission with applicable changes.
7. ‘Half-day or part of a day leave is not allowed. If a student needs to be taken away from the school for medical or any other reason, before the school is officially over, the student must not come to the school on a particular day and must send an application requesting leave for absence.
8. All Saturdays are non-working days for classes Toddlers to S.K.G. 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturdays are nonworking for classes I, II & III.
9. Strict disciplinary action may be taken for continued irregular attendance, habitual idleness, or neglect of studies. The parent must make an entry at the appropriate place in the School Diary.
1. The Principal shall be available to meet the parents between 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesdays & Thursdays or at any other time up to 1:00 pm by appointment.
2. Parent-Teacher Meetings are held periodically, during which you must meet various teachers of your child and clarify all your queries. If there is any query that cannot wait till the next PTM/Specific Meeting, you may meet the Senior/Junior School Co-ordinator.
3. Meeting Class/Subject Teachers during School working hours is not permitted, as it disturbs the entire class and wastes the precious working time of the Teachers.
1. The School Fees shall be paid 6 times in a year between the 1st and 10th of the following months-(April May, July, September, November and January) as specified in the Fee Pay Slip Book available at the school office in (i) Oriental Bank of Commerce, Doiwala Branch, Dehradun.
2. If the fees are not paid by the due date in the bank, the same will be accepted in the School Accounts office ONLY on the 15th (along with a late fee of 50/-) or on the 20th (along with a late fee of 100/) or on the 25th (along with a late fee of 150/) of the month in which due to late payment beyond such date shall be penalised @ 20/ per day. Please consider the fine as a deterrent and co-operate with us to follow the School Rules.
3. If the arrears of a child are outstanding for 30 days or more (including holidays and summer/winter vacations), his/her name will be struck off from the school rolls, without any notice. Re-admission will be granted at the discretion of the principal and on payment of the Admission Fee and fine.
4. Report cards are withheld if students have not cleared their school dues. Students are also liable to be debarred from Terminal or other examinations if all school dues have not been paid.
5. No broken periods for fees are allowed. Fees are charged for the full month regardless of holiday, absence or any other reason.
6. To procure and retain quality teaching staff, annual increments need to be given to them. To cover such increments and other expenses the school shall affect a corresponding rise in tuition fees and other charges every year.
7. Students must not bring their School Fees in cash to School as it is too big an amount for them to handle.
8. Applications for refund of security must be made, on the prescribed form available from the school office, within three months of the child leaving the School. The security will be paid one month after it is applied for.
9. Security not claimed within three months of the child’s withdrawal will be presumed to be donated to the school and no enquiries shall be solicited.
1. The child’s overall performance shall be considered for promoting her/him to the next class. This shall consist of the following:
I. Daily Homework (Memorizing work is also homework)
II. Class/Unit Tests
III. Holiday Homework
2. Students absent from an examination/test for any reason will not be re-examined. Students absent from examination/test without adequate reason will be considered as having failed in that examination/test.
3. Cases of examination are settled on the basis of the term’s work of the child. In consultation with his/her teacher and his/her previous records.
4. Promotions are not a matter of right. The decision of the school with regards to promotion is final and not to be challenged.
1. If a student is to be withdrawn after the Annual Examinations in March, one month’s notice must be given by the end of February. Otherwise, the fees for the next two quarters will become payable.
2. If a student seeks withdrawal in March/April, the fees will become payable up to December (three quarters) to partially compensate for the loss due to the seat remaining vacant for the whole academic year.
3. TRANSFER CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL ALL SUMS DUE TO THE SCHOOL ARE PAID.
The school shall arrange transportation for children with private transporters subject to the following manner:
a. A refundable security money of 500/- per child shall be deposited. Only those prepared to use the transportation the whole year round shall be allowed.
b. Transport shall not be provided on a “one-way” basis.
c. WITHDRAWAL OF TRANSPORT FACILITIES: A student is provided with the facility of transport for the full academic year, and no breaks are allowed on any account. Only those prepared to use the transport service for the whole year round shall be allowed. If a child wishes to leave transport service for any reason, at any time whatsoever, the transport fees shall be payable for the whole year.
d. The school will not be bound to provide transport facilities in case of a break-down of the bus.
e. Transport Fees is payable for 12 months in a year.
f. The School reserves the right to withdraw transport service on any route at any time.
1. The school provides a Day-Boarding facility (with or without food) for a limited number of children, on the fees to be decided from time to time.
2. Security (refundable) equivalent to one month Day Boarding fees shall have to be deposited by a Day Scholar changing his/her status to Day-Boarder.
3. Only those prepared to use the Day-Boarding facility the whole year round shall be provided with the same. Normally, a Day-Boarder shall not be allowed to change her/his status to a Day-Scholar during the academic year; however even in case a student wishes to do so due to extraordinary circumstances, the Day Boarding fee for the entire year shall be paid.
4. Day Boarding fees are calculated on 11 months but is payable term wise in the months of April, July & October of the relevant academic session.
