Welcome To The Presidency International School
top coed ICSE school in dehradun

Introduction

The Presidency International School, a co-educational institution affiliated with the ICSE board, is located in Bhaniyawala, Dehradun. Our school provides students with a nurturing environment along with a range of dynamic studies. The school has dedicated itself not just to prepare the academic activities, but also to building students into overall successful personalities that lead the society. The ICSE school focuses on the overall development of the personality of the child, encompassing the social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cultural needs along with the academic and intellectual progress. Children epitomize hopes, dreams and the future, and just like the skilled hands of a potter, the school moulds the child into a person groomed to realize his/her true potential as an individual.

At The Presidency International School, we believe in our students, first and foremost.

Students should be at the centre of a well-rounded education. We know that children learn best when their intellectual, creative, emotional, social, and physical growth is nurtured and challenged. The school encourages active student participation in extracurricular activities, including community service, academic competitions, student clubs, student exchange programs, interscholastic sports, numerous art programs and productions. These are not just part of student life at the school. It is the core of how we educate.

Inspiring teachers are the key to making education personal. At the school, our teachers know every single student. Our teachers are leaders in their fields. Above all, our teachers are some of the most incredible educators you will find. Their credentials are at their best. The care and compassion with which the teacher teaches, ensures that a student’s education is not taken lightly.

Quality education is a collaborative effort between school and family. The school encourages parents to become active participants in the life of the school and their child’s education. We believe that with a strong parent presence at school events, sports games, theatrical productions, fundraisers, and other parent interactive activities, we teach students, they have the support necessary to succeed. At the same time, it is our goal that all students learn to become independent young adults, and we are intentional about providing parents with the resources and support to let their kids grow up and become self-reliant.

Our Mission

Our ICSE School in Dehradun specializes in imparting knowledge beyond the curriculum, teaching qualities such as respecting others, understanding traditional values, and boosting confidence. We help open hearts and minds, nurture the individual and watch every child take shape as a rare and special creation. The school is proud of its scholastic achievements as a leading academic institution. This attainment occurs alongside a comprehensive sporting, cultural and service programme. We expect a lot from our children, and in turn, we return it unsparingly.

We rightly follow the school motto, ‘nishchay kar apni jeet karo ‘, DETERMINE AND ACHIEVE.

To bring out the hidden potential of each individual, qualities of discipline, open-mindedness and sensitivity are fostered and encouraged. We endeavour to see that our students acquire a broad range of skills, a love of learning, tolerance and respect for the beliefs of others and basic values of honesty, perseverance and punctuality.

The Presidency Community

Keeping up the spirit of competition and teamwork, The Presidency International, the best ICSE school in Dehradun, presents a glimpse of the entire student community. The school is divided into four Houses – Ajeet, Fateh Jorawar, and Jujhar. The Houses are named after the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh (the tenth Sikh Guru and the founder of KHALSA, Sahibzada Ajeet Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh, Sahibzada Jorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh.) Houses compete with one another at sports and other competitions thus, providing a focus for group loyalty.

It is compulsory to be a member of a house. The main idea of the house system is to provide training in qualities of leadership, cooperation, mutual understanding and self-reliance. Different types of activities are organized under the house system, such as dramatics, elocution, quiz, debate, sports etc. Besides, the students are trained in community service and social work.
