School’s Birthday Celebration:

7th of July is celebrated as school’s birthday every year with great joy. This year we celebrated our school’s birthday by organizing games for different classes till class V. Senior school participated in Inter House ‘Nukkad Natika (Street Play)’ competition and G.K Display Board Competition. All the houses performed well in Nuakkad Natika but Ajeet House was the winner. Afterwards, the Director and Principal of the school had cut the cake and sweets were distributed to the whole school.

Perfect Investiture Ceremony:

Investiture ceremony is one of the most exalted and esteemed event of our school calendar. This year it was on 16th July, 2016, the captain body was installed with responsibilities. Thirty students of class IX and XI were shouldered the responsibilities to maintain the discipline of the school. The captains for the year 2016-17 marched uprightly to the stage to take their oath and received their badges. The chief guest, our hon'ble Director, Mr. Maninder Singh Juneja addressed the captain body with his words of wisdom.

Independence Day:

15th August, this is the day, when our nation sings,

This is the day when liberty bells ring,

This is the day when we stand for and celebrate the independence of our country.
Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. The children on this day are determined that they will become pillars that will uphold virtues of peace, tolerance and selflessness. With pride they salute the tricolor. The flag was hoisted by the Vice Prinicpal, Mrs. Shweta Dabral which was followed by the national anthem. Many patriotic speeches were made. The students put up a colorful and vibrant show. The Principal addressed the students with inspiring and motivating words which left a great impact on the students.


The Presidency International School has always encouraged students and produced such talented buds who participated in Interschool Debate and earned laurels to school.

In 2015-16, Anshika Rawat, Shreya Bhandari, Astha Negi and Prash Singhal represented the team for the debate organized by th INDO GERMAN Society at Vivekanand School, Jogiwala, Dehradun. Anshika Rawat and Shreya Bhandari were the participants for the Hindi Debate and Astha Negi and Prash Singhal participated in the English Debates respectively. 

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)

The Presidency International School, Dehradun, hosted RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment), which was on 3rd May 2014 in the sprawling campus of Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute. The purpose of this fest was to motivate youth towards women empowerment and to create awareness among the youth towards the society. Moreover, the students got opportunity to meet some great dignitaries of the town. The students were encouraged to display their talent and win awards.

The schools which took part in this fest were as follows- Him Jyoti School, The Presidency International School, Doon International School, The Indian Cambridge School, Brooklyn School and Hilton’s School.

The events consisted of Nukkad Natika (Street Play) competition, Science Quiz, Rangoli Competition, Debate Competition and Folk Dance Competition. All the Schools represented themselves and was very efficient in the various competitions and it was difficult for the judges to decide the winner. Him Jyoti School performed outstanding in Nukkad Natika and bagged the first prize. The Presidency International School got second prize and was much more appreciated by the audience. In Quiz section, Madhusudan Thapliyal and Kritika Rajput of The Presidency International School gave a remarkable performance and got the first prize in it. The second prize was shared between Hilton’s School and Him Jyoti School. In Rangoli Section, The Presidency International School displayed a creative rangoli based on the theme of women empowerment and won the first prize with a lot of appreciation from the audience. The Second prize in Rangoli was won by Doon International School. In debate Section, Prabhjot Singh of The Presidency International School, got the award for best speaker. And Him Jyoti School got the award for best team. In Folk Dance Competition, Doon International got first prize. The Overall Trophy was won by The Presidency International School with its overall outstanding performance.

At last, the chief guest PDG Mr.Manpreet Singh addressed the audience and appreciated their efforts and encouraged and motivated youth for more participation in future.

The participants were successful in spreading their message to the audience related to women empowerment. The students learnt a lot from the personal experience of Mr. Manpreet and it was not surprising that the festival brought the hidden talents of many youngsters into spotlight.
